Goodbye & Goodluck Eric !!!
Castaheany TKD Scchool would like to say goodbye to Eric Barkman who is leaving Ireland for Canada.

In 2006 adult classes started in Castaheany Taekwon-do school, Eric along with 3 others where my first students (Barbara-ann, Dee and David). For the first couple of months we had a small class, made even smaller when David left. With only 3 adult white belts in the school, St Mary Mother of Hope hall seemed very big and empty, but the 3 remained consistent in their attendance and training and kept the class going.

Along with the 2 lady members, Eric was a major part of the schools foundations and keeping the adult class alive for the first 4 months, we wish him all the luck from everyone in the school, and as quoted by Master Kavanagh “Our loss is another schools gain”. Good luck Eric, and keep in touch.( Gary Kavanagh III)

Northern Ireland Seminar

While reading the UKTA Today magazine I found an article on Types of Motion. Certain movements in patterns are performed in continuous, connecting, consecutive, fast or slow motion. The article had compiled all the patterns and the various types of motion they had, in handy tables.

I contacted the author of the article Seán Cattanach and he kindly has allowed us to use the info on our website. The terminology on Types of Motion is taken from 'The Dictionary of Taekwon-Do Terminology'; compiled by Sean Cattanach from The Encyclopedia of Taekwon-Do (Gen. Choi) and the seminars of Grandmaster Rhee Ki-Ha.

This is valuable and helpful information for studying your patterns. There is a link to the page in the paragraph above and also on the main terminology page
